About this course
Recent reporting on camera-equipped smart glasses has sharpened a basic question: when a camera is built into ordinary-looking eyewear, how does anyone nearby know what is happening? Meta says its glasses blink a white capture light during photos or video, have no switch to turn that light off, and can disable the camera when tampering is detected.
A signal can show that capture is happening, but it cannot settle every question about consent, storage, sharing, or later analysis. This course helps you separate those stages, consider both wearer and bystander perspectives, and discuss boundaries without assuming that the same law or social expectation applies in every place.
