About this course
A current U.S. proposal would give airlines and ticket sellers more flexibility in how prominently they show individual fare components beside the total price. It is still a proposal, not a final rule, but it highlights a familiar traveler challenge: the cheapest-looking number is not always the most useful comparison.
This course separates the base fare, government taxes and other mandatory components from optional services such as checked baggage. You’ll learn to build one consistent basket for your trip, find where extra charges are disclosed, and compare final costs on equal terms before choosing a flight.
